It's a laugh a minute

sestreeYa know, sometimes even your parents can make you see things in a different light.
Yesterday Mom, Jon the kids, April and I went down to DC to go to Skewers (side note - LOVE the food) and Mother dear went into her 'high maintenance' routine. Oh well we headed that off at the pass luckily but I was prepared for a day as bleak as the weather.
Amazing what will entertain a person though. After we left the restaurant had more fun switching trains and riding the busses than any reasonably sane person should. Every time we had a transfer she would exclaim quite loudly how happy she was to get to go on another train - which of course made the people around her smile - and she was very careful to compliment and thank the busdriver each time as well. The first busdriver kinda gave her the 'you're nuts lady' look but the others were tickled. She also took pictures of everything including the busses LOL.
Just like having a little kid around. I had forgotten that getting there CAN be the most fun.
