sestree: (santa's watching)

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Neither actually. I'd much rather have coffee with Bailey's Irish Cream

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
If it's wrappable it's wrapped. Santa has had years of experience :)

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
I like the all white lights because it's so busy with colored bulbs and colored lights

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
HA funny - I grew up in Oklahoma - we ALL know mistletoe is a parasite not a plant. Seriously, now we hang mom's plastic bell with the mistletoe ball inside. I can remember it from my earliest memories.

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Whenever we get around to it. For years we absolutely had to put them up on my ex's birthday (Dec. 16) so he could have this big party. Not anymore *smirk*

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?
We vary so much every year - wait - Green Bean Casserole. That is one of the few things that makes it to every holiday table regardless of theme.

7. Favorite Holiday Memory as a child?
Being *big* (read old) enough to help Grandma Nell wrap the *little* one's presents after they went to sleep. I think I was all of 8 or 9. It was a very special time spent just me and her talking, wrapping (I knew what everyone got too HA!) and having hot cinnamon tea and cookies.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I really don't remember. I think the logic got to me after a bit but I really don't remember. My oldest son learned from the religious fanatics we lived next door to when he was 5. They were assholes and I could've slapped them.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Again, it depends. We're very unstructured - we sorta go with the flow. I'ts not uncommon for a really good gift to be delivered (or something that could be used) and it's gifted that day.

10. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him?
Santa doesn't get cookies at my house. We always baked so much the day before that we left santa a note that said "help yourself the beer is in the fridge"

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Love it.

12. Can you ice skate?
Never learned how - never tried.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
That's a really hard one. First comes to mind are my diamond earrings from last year or the lovely wool coat from the year before.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Having those of us that are either 1)close or 2) not fighting together.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Again, we sorta go with the flow. I"m a big chocolate mousse fan so it usually makes an appearance.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
I don't do traditions really. Closest thing I have to something that organized is we have Christmas dinner sometime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The ex broke me of the whole tradition thing: he enjoyed and I worked my ass off. This is MUCH easier.

17. What tops your tree?
Currently, my mother's angel (again another one I can remember from my earliest memories) tops the tree. Previously we had a very nice Father Christmas that topped the tree.

18. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving?
Giving.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Carol?
Hark the Herald Angels Sing

20. Candy Canes..Yuck or Yum?
ICK BLECH nope.

The truth about Santa Claus. Say "Saint Nicolas" with a dutch accent. It won't take anyone too long to figure that one out.

As for the Santa/Satan; does this mean that a Rose is really made out of Fish eggs?
