hmmm that's a hard one - Most likely "The Mist" by S. King because I just really like that short story. It's a nice length, good plot, and the ending is a little ambiguous.

I don't know. There aren't any actors who fit the description in my head. Maybe Gary Sinese for David.

"7 Days in May" I heard that it had been a movie but I've not ever found it. Loved the book though.
