1. What's the last concert you attended?
2. Who is the best live performer you've ever seen?
3. You can invite 2 artists to your house, but they must sing together. Who are they and what one song will they sing?
4. Pick one to see: ABBA, Jimmy Buffet or Kenny Chesney?
5. Friday Freebie: Tell us anything you want about music!

1) If you were going to describe yourself as a stereotype or a series of stereotypes, what would you say?
2) Now describe your SO or best friend as a stereotype.
3) One or both parents?
4) What stereotyping phrase or concept applied to you or someone you know drives you nuts?
5) What's your general opinion on stereotypes - hugely limiting lazy thinking or handy tools to paraphrase an abstract into something readily indentifiable?

Yes we have a new "dumbest question ever asked" winner. This one is an absolute riot - and in this case there was no language barrier as he is a good old born and bred in the USA English speaking person.

Employee: Can you check what address you're mailing my checks to? They're going to my daughter's house

--he then gives me the address ON HIS PAYSTUB. It agrees with the address I have in the system so I ask "Is this your correct address?"

Employee: Yes that's right but the checks are going to my daughter's house - she just moved and changed her address.

Me: It sounds like you have a post office problem.

Employee: NO my post office is fine but I want to know why you're sending my checks to my daughter's house

(we go through the whole verify your address schpiel again)

Me: Look, if that's the address on your check stub AND it is your postal address it's not my fault it's not being delivered correctly

Employee: But you've got to stop sending my checks to my daughter's house.

(then I look it up - he has DIRECT DEPOSIT).

Me: ummm sir - you have direct deposit - your checks are going directly into your bank account.

Employee: No they're not - they're going to my daughter's house ....

At this point I finally gave up and told him I would look into it.

UPDATE: I guess he called the other office to talk to his supervisor about it. Maybe said supervisor is busy 'splainin the facts of life (and paychecks) to him.
