Jul. 22nd, 2005 09:27 amI figured it was time for an update. Let see:
I found out that the jeep will be out for at least 2 1/2 more weeks while they fix the little dings and crunches I did. Preliminary estimate was around 3900.00 which isn't that bad. The pieces did what they were supposed to do - absorb the shock and bend away from the driver. However that meant there's more little pieces broke than I could see when I first looked. I miss my jeep.
Lighter side though: I'm currently driving a Grand Am. It's not too bad. The V6 engines have came a looong ways since my last one (in *cough* 1985 *cough*)
I think we're roadtripping to White Marsh Mall on Sunday. We've still not been to the beach this year and I'm starting to get a mite annoyed. I want to go. Unfortunately each weekend either we have plans or Jon or Mom do not want to go (but I can't really go without them) so I stay home. I miss the ocean. Hell I miss the water. Much more of this and I'm headin to Six Flags ... I can find THAT by myself (no jokes about not being able to find the beach --- I get turned around in DE too easy).
Work is finally slowing down (a tiny bit anyway) so that I actually have time to do the audit function of my job. We're catching quite a few oopses and on purposes lately. The oopses we're fixing and the on purposes they're FINALLY doing something with (i.e. goodbye don't let the screen door hit ya on the way out) and I feel like I"m doing more than just data entry.
The dog whom we were sure was at death's door 2 or 3 weeks ago make a nothing-short-of-miraculous recovery and is blindly stumbling her happy way through life again. Poor baby --- I took a tennisball outside last weekend and she so wanted to play with it but when it got a few feet from her she 'lost' it so I was the one fetching. I guess it was probably a site to see. I'm sure the neighborhood is still chuckling.
Montana sounds happy and healthy in Kansas and even though I often don't agree with my ex's child rearing methods, I am going to wait and see how it turns out this time.
Well that's about it. Certified payroll beckons.
Yes I probably spelled Chuck M's name wrong but I'm just too lazy to look it up right now.
