Been awhile ain't it?

Sorry - it has been a while. I have had that stinkin virus going around for over 2 freakin weeks. Until last night I don't think I slept more than 3 or 4 hours at a stretch without coughing coughing coughing. Luckily the Tessalon Pearles and Zithromax seems to have knocked, if not the actual virus, then the secondary infections it caused *whew*

Unfortunately I missed the Vicar's and Tart's party I wanted to go to this weekend. We just did NOT feel up to it. I think we ate nothing but soup and delivery pizza and fast food for the last 2 weeks - not normal for my house.

On that particular ramble I'm going to work on cooking more and eating out less. I'm certain it's healthier and probably a lot less fattening, plus it's cheaper. We need to get our AC unit replaced this year - it barely made it last year. I also want to do replacement windows, and we need to replace the front storm door. The AC unit is definitely the biggest priority but I would like to do them all --- and that means conserving more *sigh* Oh well - the fun of owning a house again.

yikes on the AC/windows. We need to replace windows this spring and it's going to hurt a lot!

The AC comes first then the windows. Fortunately I live in a townhouse and only have 9 windows to do. Down side? I have actual paned windows so they really let the cold in and a couple of them are huge. I hate the thought of it but we might end up financing the windows *shudder*

I checked this morning... we only have two windows in the BR, so we will only have to replace 8 windows, and we save enough money to eat at Wendy's once in June.

*snerk* I thought for certain it was 3 in the bedroom. You better count again because every other house has 3.

Besides we need to replace the transom - that makes 9.

The Vicar's and Tarts party was this weekend, I'm going to have to hunt down and torture Angie for not sending me that email to tell me about it. LOL. Then again, she was getting toasted at the party where I gave her my email :D

Yeesh on the AC and windows. The more I hear about homeowners and all the fix it stuff, I'm thinking about staying in my apartment and paying the small fortune. At least someone else does the repair work :D

When you think of repairs and stuff vs renting consider one thing: tax deductions :) Which is guess is a moot point as the refund will be being used for repairs ... I see your point LOL.
