Sorry if I misspelled that folks :)  Isn't it interesting how we all seem to celebrate the same days but in different ways?  Ok, yes celebrating a ground hog isn't, well, celebrating I realize but it IS celebrating nature (another Grandma Nell bit of folklore and you hush [livejournal.com profile] pyllgrum I know all about that river in Egypt).

I posted something in another spot about how we always looked at the critters roaming around to figure how cold the winter would be or how soon spring would be or how wet or dry etc etc.  Are those things lost to us now?  If I told someone at work I was looking at the woolly caterpillar or seeing how soon the horses started shedding they'd think I was nuts.

no comments from the peanut gallery on that last one either *grin*
