3. You'll update your LJ with the five questions answered. (I will put all questions back in this post so's to keep from cluttering up friends' pages.)
4. You'll include this explanation.
5. You ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed. And it just keeps going, and going, and going (hopefully!)

1. Where do you want to see your life in 5 and then 10 years from now? Realistically! No, winning the lottery or anything.
5 years: I'd like to be in a job/position that is more of a challenge mentally, home life would be the same except I hope by then my oldest has left the nest and that
pyllgrum has NOT LOL
10 years: I'd like to be comfortable in a stable position (hopefully the one I had for 5 years LOL) and same as before on family. I hope my mother is still around but I doubt it. Though she drives me bonkers I still love her.
2. Do you have a good relationship with your family? If not, what happened (if not too personal) or what could make it better? I have a great relationship with
pyllgrum (husband) and kids, Mom, well somewhat. The sad thing is that's pretty much all my family. My father and I have never been close and I've finally come to peace with that. At least I know what state he currently resides in - that's more than I usually get :)
3. Who is one person that you regret parting company with and why (friend or lover)? My cousin Debbie. We really haven't as much parted company as grew apart...and then I moved LOL.
4. What is your most favorite thing to do? Be outside listening to music. That's what I love best about the Renaissance Festivals
5. What are you best at?ouch that's a hard one. What I am truly best at is organizing a percussion section so that all the major pieces are covered by the fewest people, no one misses a cue, and all the instruments are accounted for. I can still do it in my sleep and it paid for college. I just haven't picked it up since I moved to MD.

1. Who are the people that have most impacted your life, and made you who you are today? Let's see: my first piano teacher Janey Hudson, my symphony director Gary Gackstatter, a college professor Larry Swaim. All 3 of these people showed me a path I didn't know I could take and offered to catch me if I stumbled on the path.
2. What's your favorite way to spend a Friday night? Laying on the sofa with a glass of red wine watching TV with my honey.
3. What are your five guilty pleasures? Dark Chocolate, Red Wine, afternoon naps, Italian food, romance novels.
4. If you could only travel on one continent for the rest of your life, which continent would you choose? What do you want to see? Europe. I've never been and I would want to see all of it LOL. Mostly Vienna (go Mozart !!), Ireland and Scotland (the scenery and rolling hills I"ve only read of), and Greece (the temples).
5. What bad habits do you have? What are some of your strengths? Bad habits: well I can be a procrastinator, I also have a fondness for foods not good for me LOL. Hey at least I quit smoking. Strengths: I adapt anywhere, I rarely ever judge anyone, and I have the ability to see all sides of a situation. That's really a curse but it's served me well over the years.

Date: 2006-02-09 08:48 pm (UTC)2. Macaws - how did you get started with Macaws? Hubby wanted to get a scarlet macaw. I researched, and researched (as I do with everything). I found out greenwing macaws have better personalities. We found a breeder and then Chile Pepper “picked” me. It was love at first sight. She was supposed to be hubbies, snicker NOT, so then came Storm. We have been blessed with Kali from a friend and now that makes 3 lovely girls in the house.
3. If you had unlimited wealth and only 5 charities/causes to contribute to which would they be? Me, myself, I, Marty and Madam Macaw. Snicker. Okay. I give to Habitat for Humanity and United Way already. I have contributed to Red Cross and SPCA also, so I guess it would be those 4 really.
4. Wine, beer or rum? Now why the hell do I have to choose? First choice is wine. Beer goes with crabs and bbqs and rum – well, you just gotta have rum handy in case of emergencies. Snicker.
5. What prompted you to go back to college? Youngest son getting older and I really wanted to further my education though I will most likely never use the degree since it would be a few steps backwards in pay.
